February 27th, "Grape Pruning" class, 10 am, Valley Oaks Vineyards, 10730 Valley Drive, Shenandoah Valley. Take Highway 49 to Plymouth. Turn right on Shenandoah Valley Road (east 16). Being careful not to head up hill to Fiddletown. Stay on east 16 until Bell Road. Turn left on Bell then left on Valley Drive. Class begins at 10 am.
This will be a hands-on class. Pruning equipment and techniques will be explained and demonstrated. There are several different types of grapes available to practice on. Bring your hand by-pass pruners, small loppers or another favorite tool. Steven Honeychurch will present and demonstrate both spur and head pruning.
