Dr. Andy Walker, Professor UC Davis Viticulture and Enology Department, will domonstrate spur and cane pruning and discuss pruning techniques and vine "balance." Dr. Doug Gubler, UC Davis Plant Pathology Specialist, will discuss grape vine disease biology (cankers, mildew, Phomopsis, Botrytis) and cultural and chemical control strategies. 2 DPR "other" continuing education credits are applied for, for the disease portion of the morning.
