Come Learn about Foothill-Friendly Gardening Techniques! Garden opens at 10 a.m., free demonstrations/classes begin at 10:30. Demonstrations on November 7 include: Planting Natives: Right Plant/Wrong Place - members of the native plant team will demonstrate the correct time and techniques for planting California natives. They will also demonstrate moving a native that has outgrown (taken over) its place in the garden. Building a Rock Garden - the rock garden team leader will show how the Master Gardener rock garden was built and identify plants that like to grow in that setting. Paths & Pavers: Their Place in Fire Safe Landscaping Islands and Barriers - find out about path materials, take a look at their use in the garden and get some ideas for your own fire safe landscaping. |
