This hands on workshop is for home gardeners with deciduous fruit trees. The goal of this workshop is to give participants the opportunity to learn how to properly select, plant, train and prune the young and mature fruit trees. Winter pest management will also be discussed. The class will be held at Mills Orchard, near Chico, CA (about 1.5 hours north of Sacramento. Instructors include Pam Geisel, Statewide Coordinator for the Master Gardener Program and UC Farm Advisor Bill Kruger. Registration is $25 per person and includes refreshments, and handouts.
