The UC Davis Extension course is taught by guest instructors who are chosen for their involvement in developing solutions to the problems of grape pests and diseases. The goal of these lectures is to provide up-to-date management information on current selected topics. This year's guest instructors include:

Dr. Andy Walker, Department of Viticulture and Enology, UC Davis
Steve Vasquez, UCCE Viticulture Advisor, Fresno County
Richard Hoenisch, Western Plant Diagnostic Network, Department of  Plant Pathology, UC Davis

The course will include lectures about mealybugs and the grapevine leafroll viruses that can be spread by mealybugs. In the face of what may be an epidemic wave of leafroll spread, three lectures will provide current information about this important issue:

Dr. Kent Daane, UC Berkeley and Dr. Monica Cooper, UCCE Viticuture Advisor, Napa County
Rhonda Smith, UCCE Viticulture Advisor, Sonoma County
Dr. Deborah Golino, UCCE Plant Pathology Specialist, UC Davis

Credit:  5.5 PCA units approved
