This event is part of a regular series of Open Garden Days held throughout the year.  On the fourth Saturday of each month (February through November) from 10 am to 2 pm the Demonstration Garden will be open to the public and gardening information will be offered free of charge.  When the garden is not open, home gardening assistance is offered by Master Gardeners through their Help Line: 754-2880.  The public may call, leave a message regarding the problem, and a Master Gardener will return the call.

February Talk & Demo: Bare Root Planting and Seed Starting

Open Garden Day attendees should dress in comfortable walking shoes, bring bottled water, and may also bring a bag lunch as there are picnic tables in the garden.

The Demonstration Garden is a project of the Calaveras County Master Gardeners whose primary goal is educating the public about home gardening.  The garden has been under construction for several years with all funding coming from Master Gardeners, UC Cooperative Extension, grants, and private donations.  Funds raised from bi-annual plant sales support the development of the Demonstration Garden.
